On the second day of this hearing “The Experts” were called before the committee to give the committee views on the governments weaponization from those who served in both government and the private sector who are qualified to advize on the subject at hand.
The Legal Expert brought in was Professor Jonathan Turley.
Jonathan Turley is a nationally recognized legal scholar who has written extensively in areas ranging from constitutional law to legal theory to tort law. After a stint at Tulane Law School, Professor Turley joined the GW Law faculty in 1990, and in 1998, became the youngest chaired professor in the school’s history.
He has served as a consultant on homeland security and constitutional issues, and is a frequent witness before the House and Senate on constitutional and statutory issues as well as tort reform legislation. He also is a nationally recognized legal commentator; he ranked 38th in the top 100 most cited ‘public intellectuals’ in a recent study by Judge Richard Posner and was found to be the second most cited law professor in the country.
After Professor Turley and the others gave their opening statements they were each question by that days panel members. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz, when it was her turn decided instead of seeking any counsel from the Professor decided to act the fool trying to belittle him.
Deborah Wasserman Schultz is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative from Florida’s 25th congressional district, first elected to Congress in 2004. A member of the Democratic Party, she is a former chair of the Democratic National Committee for Hilary Clinton.

Watching the Democrats in these hearings makes me ask, other than the corrupt and those who broke the law, who do these members of Congress represent? Certainly it can not be the people who voted for them. Not one American citizen wants the Government to be able to silence them. No matter what their party or beliefs.
Yet that is exactly what every Democrat in these hearings so far seem determined to protect and defend.
