As you know, Dame Ester Rantzen has been a key influencer on the push from this dreadful Labour Government to bring in assisted killing (suicide). Sir Keir Starmer remarked that he was very pleased that he could keep his vow to Dame Esther to make time for a debate and vote on assisted dying in Parliament. It passed by 330 votes to 270 votes.
Rantzen is terminally ill and has been outspoken in her calls for change, and even said she was not expecting to have a chance to witness such a debate in her lifetime and that the news has filled her with hope.
It fills others with dread. But let’s circle back to her terminal cancer diagnosis for a moment. Just how terminal is her condition?
