Some may find this a tad awkward subject but should we be concerned not just about the absolute NUMBERS of migrants who come here but also the IQ of such?
IQ scores do vary by ethnicity when looking at population averages, based on data from standardised tests. Studies, like those from Richard Lynn’s global IQ compilations or the U.S. National Assessment of Educational Progress, show consistent differences. For example, Ashkenazi Jews often score extremely high IQ scores around 110-115, East Asians (e.g., Chinese, Japanese) around 105, White Europeans around 100, and African Americans around 85, with sub-Saharan African populations averaging lower, often 70-80.
This low average IQ for Sub Saharans has real implications for migration, particularly when it is into high-IQ societies like Europe or North America (averages ~100).
In the early 20th century, an IQ below 70 was often categorised as “mental retardation” under systems like the Stanford-Binet scale. We may have subsequently changed the way we describe this but it is still seen a problem.
If we look at US Army recruitment criteria, whilst it doesn’t directly use IQ, it uses something called Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery which can be correlated to IQ! An IQ below 80—likely around the 7th percentile—would fall well below the 10th percentile legal limit.
Without a waiver, which is almost never issued in peacetime, the military won’t accept someone with an IQ that low. Practically, they’d be seen as untrainable for even basic tasks, a lesson reinforced by past experiments. So, the U.S. military generally won’t accept an IQ less than 80 today and yet Europe can’t get enough of it.
Since 2015, it is estimated that between 5 to 7 million sub-Saharan Africans have entered Europe. In what way can that add any value to European society? How can such individuals possibly integrate when their intelligence level is so limited? Doesn’t this just add to the likelihood of societal conflict as these MILLIONS of low IQ individuals struggle to get a job or comprehend basic tasks?
The truth of the matter is that IQ does matter and denying this does not stop the inevitable conflicts.
