The Ukraine war will END in the same way it STARTED, the United States will change the momentum and Russia will respond. Good relations between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin will be the key to bringing the curtain down on this appalling blood sacrifice and waste of human life. The Europeans are finding out that when it comes to these large geopolitical decisions, they are an absolute and utter irrelevance. Now, this hurts their feelz but it’s just something they’re going to have to increasingly live with.
Today sees a gathering of panicked European leaders rapidly organised by French President Macron. In addition to Macron, others at the summit meeting will be German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa from the European Union.
And of course slimy Sir Keir Starmer from the UK.
In an act of risible vanity, Keir Starmer is seeking to position himself as “a bridge” between Washington and Europe against a backdrop of deepening transatlantic tensions. Does Donald Trump need any such “bridge”?
Its speculated that Britain could deploy boots on the ground in Ukraine as part of a European effort to secure the peace. The Paris meeting is expected to discuss a possible deployment of a “reassurance force” with troops stationed behind, but not on, a future ceasefire line.
But in a parallel development, Starmer has also said he has no short term plan to increase spend on defence! So it’s all smoke and mirrors as Starmer tries to ingratiate himself with Brussels and Washington.
