There is a gathering of NATO heads of State in Washington today so it seems timely to consider if NATO is actually a force for good or is it an axis of evil?

James Timpson, the new Prisons Minister, suggests that only one third of those who go to prison should go there. We can expect fewer people being given custodial sentences and a mushrooming of crime.
