Rachel Reeves’s spring statement in the Common’s the other day painted a rosy picture of a prosperous British economy delivered by a confident Chancellor.

The Epstein files—those sordid documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein, the “suicided” billionaire pimp who somehow rubbed elbows with the world’s elite while trafficking kids like it was a side hustle—are a bombshell.

There isn’t a week that goes by when I think that the abolition of capital punishment here in the UK wasn’t a triumph of civilisation BUT a very costly mistake that’s been haunting us for half a century.

One of the favourite tactics of the political left (which includes virtually the entire mainstream media btw) is to repeatedly suggest that US President Trump entered the Iran conflict without any clear well thought out objectives.
