The legacy media is positively gloating that US President Donald Trump has gone on a tirade against Russian President Vladimir Putin during an early morning phone call on Sunday morning. Just like that, the Trump they have been telling us is Putin’s best buddy has become his vociferous critic.
The President repeatedly said he is ‘pissed off’ at Putin for questioning Ukrainian President Zelensky’s credibility and legitimacy after he insisted this week the war torn country needs new leadership.
Trump’s seemingly-full-throated defence of Ukraine and its leader comes after he previously was critical of Zelensky and claimed he was ‘sick’ of handling the war and aiding Kiev.
I have to admit to being confused about this but I am sure some may tell me it’s more 3D chess! Having publicly berated Zelensky, is this Trump giving the impression of being even-handed? Is this designed to win the confidence of the midget in Kiev?
