No Pride in Puberty Blockers

Did you see that the Organisers of two LGBT+ festivals in Northern Ireland have said that political parties that supported a ban on the sale or supply of puberty blockers to under-18s will not be invited to take part in their pride events this year. Well, I am sure they will cope by not attending these annual displays of godless defiance, but I do think we should consider why would Foyle Pride in Londonderry and Causeway Pride be so keen to give puberty blockers to under 18’s.

First, a little background;

In December, the four parties in the NI Executive, voted to introduce an indefinite permanent ban on the sale to anyone under the age of 18. This was part of an all-UK ban on these dangerous drugs.

Here is WHY they are banned for younger people.

Bone Density

  • Risk: Long-term use of puberty blockers can lead to decreased bone density. This is because puberty is a critical period for bone mass accumulation, and delaying it might affect peak bone mass later in life.

Brain Development:

  • Risk: There’s concern about the impact on brain development, particularly since puberty brings significant changes in brain structure and function.

Fertility:

  • Risk: Puberty blockers can delay or alter sexual maturation, potentially impacting future fertility. Puberty blockers themselves are often reversible in terms of fertility, but if followed by hormone therapy, fertility might be affected.

  • Psychological Effects:

    • Risk: There’s debate about the psychological impact, including the possibility of regret if gender identity changes post-puberty or if the blockers are used without comprehensive psychological support.

None of these worries seem to concern these two LGBT advocacy groups, why?

Let’s study Foyle Pride.

“Foyle Pride is and always will be, a community-led, grassroots movement that stands with all queer people, especially our trans siblings who have been abandoned by those in power. We march for real change, real solidarity and real support. Pride belongs to the people—not politicians who betray us.”

Make of that what you will.

And who are Causeway Pride?

Causeway Pride” refers to a Pride organisation based in Northern Ireland, specifically focused on the coastal area around Portrush, often hosting a Pride parade and events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in that region;essentially, it’s a local Pride celebration on the North Coast of Northern Ireland

The Bible tells us that “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall”

These organisations appear to have already fallen and seem determined to expose younger people to the pernicious puberty blockers and ALL the dangers they may contain.
