Net Zero Burqas!

Let’s play along with their game, shall we?

Naz Shah who is the Labour Member of Parliament for Bradford West and Vice-chair All Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims (Yes, they really do a Committee for Muslims, sighs!) felt inclined to pop up and post the following;

Now Naz has a certain reputation which I will get to but let’s assume that she is right that in the political constituency of Runcorn and Helsby, there are only 141 women over 18 and none of them wear a Burqa or Niqab. Isn’t that good news? Shouldn’t we celebrate? In her own way she is talking about net zero burqas and this what we need!

Naz is the MP for Bradford West which has a 58.7% Muslim population. Assuming a 50/50 gender split, that suggests there are around 29,000 muslim women around her. So can she tell us how many of THEM wear a Burqa or Niqab? Any thoughts, Naz?

Here is an image from a Bradford school…

That looks a lot like 100% head covering compliance to me.

So, Naz, if 0.4% doest concern you in Runcorn, what % does concern you? At what point do we ban it then? I am all ears.

Getting back to Naz’s reputation it was back in 2017 that she retweeted and liked a tweet from a parody account of the journalist Owen Jones that said;

“Exactly Areeq, those abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths. For the good of #diversity.”

She later reportedly undid the retweet and unliked the original post. At the time, her spokesperson told the Sun that it “was a genuine accident” and was “rectified within minutes”.

Exactly. It was the sort of accident that anyone can have. We have all accidentally liked and retweet posts like that…

The bottom line is that the correct % of Burqas that are acceptable in the public realm in our democracies is 0%, that’s the net zero I want.
