Labour’s Brexit U-Turn: A Sneaky Plan to Rejoin the EU!

No one should be surprised that a Labour Government comprising of hard core Remainer MP’s would do all it could to try and re-align the UK with the EU and thus subvert Brexit once it got into office.

Bloomberg reports that the UK government is actively plotting a major shift in its relationship with the European Union. The plan is to quietly align with EU regulations on certain products, including food and farming goods, and even let the EU’s top court have a say in parts of a new trade deal. This looks like a backdoor way to drag the UK back under Brussels’ control without giving British businesses or voters any real voice. You can smell the Remainer betrayal!

Labour’s proposal involves something called “dynamic alignment,” which is a just another way of saying the UK would automatically adopt EU rules for things like agrifood products. Worse, the government is reportedly ready to let the European Court of Justice make rulings on health and safety standards for these goods. In plain terms, this means EU bureaucrats would be setting the rules for British companies, but the UK wouldn’t have a seat at the table to argue its case. For a country that voted to “take back control” in 2016, this feels giving it back.

Contrary to how the media will present this, it isn’t just a minor tweak to trade term it’s a fundamental shift. Labour’s deal, led by Europhile Prime Minister Keir Starmer, risks turning the UK into an EU “rule taker.” Instead of negotiating as an equal partner, Britain would be forced to swallow EU regulations without having any say in how they’re made. This could hit key industries hard, especially manufacturing and services. Maybe that’s the plan? The UK’s service sector, from finance to tech, is a global powerhouse and has a major edge over the EU. Tying it to EU rules could stifle innovation and competitiveness, leaving British businesses at a disadvantage. Starmer might find that a good result?

The warning signs have been there since July 2024. Labour’s Product Regulation and Metrology Bill, which has been flying under the radar, is now flagged as the Trojan horse in this saga. This bill gives ministers the power to adopt EU standards quietly, bypassing the kind of public scrutiny that Brexit was supposed to restore. It effectively unravels much of what Brexit achieved—freedom from EU red tape and the ability to set rules that suit the UK’s needs.

I see this as a long term stitch up of the Brexit voters. We weren’t supposed to vote LEAVE in 2016 and yet we did. The political establishment at the time voted overwhelmingly for us to REMAIN. So it has spent the past 8 years working to weaken and subvert Brexit. That’s why Northern Ireland was thrown under the bus by Boris Johnson and kept IN the Single Market and subject to ECJ jurisdiction on many issues. The Parliamentary traitors want to get us back as an EU vassal state and Starmer is simply following that narrative.
