Left wing activists masquerading as Judges are going to have to be removed from Office if President Trump is to achieve his core objectives. It’s an existential crisis – here’s why.
A few days past, U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston issued an injunction in California’s Eastern District, significantly limiting U.S. Border Patrol agents’ ability to conduct warrantless arrests of suspected undocumented immigrants.
This outrageous ruling, stemming from a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of the United Farm Workers , prohibits agents from stopping individuals without reasonable suspicion of unlawful presence or making arrests without a warrant unless there is probable cause that the person is likely to flee.
In essence it stops Border Guards from guarding the border!
The ACLU’s lawsuit alleged that Border Patrol agents engaged in ..yawns…racial and occupational profiling during the operation. Agents reportedly targeted predominantly Latino neighborhoods and day labourer sites. Detainees were bused 300 miles to the U.S.-Mexico border, allegedly denied access to legal counsel or family contact, and coerced into signing “voluntary departure” forms, waiving their right to an immigration hearing.
Judge Thurston’s 88-page ruling claims that the evidence showed a pattern of Fourth Amendment violations, including stops without reasonable suspicion and warrantless arrests without individualised flight risk assessments. Thurston also certified the case as a class action, covering those stopped without suspicion or arrested without warrants, and ordered detailed reports every 60 days documenting any warrantless stops or arrests.
This really paralyses their ability to do their job and THAT is precisely the point of her ruling.
The US legal system is replete with these activists in robes determined to tie up the Trump administration. These tensions between immigration enforcement and constitutional protections seriously challenge Trump administration’s deportation policies and I think that it’s time some of these Judges were sent to prison.
