The Left is ALREADY melting down and fighting amongst itself at the return of President Donald Trump to the White House. The Storm is here and things are being shaken as never before.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan (he’s the guy who claims not to know what a Muslim Rape Gang looks like) had this to say;
“We should be in no doubt, this is a perilous moment. The spectre of a resurgent fascism haunts the West … To ward off the far-right, we must be unflinching in defence of our democracy and values, and in our determination to enhance the welfare and material conditions of our communities.
Suggesting that the Trump regime carries a spectre of fascism is quite the incendiary claim but Khan does not hold back!
The west must face up to a century-defining battle against a resurgent far right that is on the march across the developed world, Sadiq Khan warns today, as he calls on ministers to take on extremism ahead of Donald Trump’s second inauguration as US president. In the most strident rallying call of any senior British politician against the march of the right in the US, France and Germany, the London mayor warns of a “resurgent fascism” online and says that stricter laws on harmful content will be needed to stem the tide.
Khan also takes aim at Trump favourite Elon Musk.
“A billionaire bully shouldn’t be able to use his social media platform as a propaganda tool to amplify lies and advance the cause of the far right,” he states. “Nor should social media companies be able to evade responsibility for algorithms that maximise – and monetise – hate.”
OK, so nobody should be THAT shocked by this vile tirade directed at Trump by Khan BUT we can’t lose of the fact he is the LABOUR Mayor of London and inextricably linked to LABOUR Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Has Labour moved to distance itself from these comments by Sadiq Khan?
You betcha!
Chief Secretary to the Treasury Darren Jones has rejected London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan’s warnings about “resurgent fascism” ahead of Donald Trump’s second inauguration as US president. Speaking to The Camilla Tominey Show on GB News, Jones made clear the mayor’s position was not shared by ministers. “It’s not the position of the UK government, as you would imagine,” Jones said.
REALLY? OK, so will Sir Keir move to punish Sir Sadiq? Of course not.
Labour has a real problem. It knows that there is already a chill factor with Trump and with good reason. David Lammy may posture and preen as Foreign Secretary and heap praise on Trump NOW but can we ever really forget this from 2016?
Labour is going to be shaken as never before.
