You would need heart of stone not to laugh at the fact that President Donald Trump has frozen UK PM Keir Starmer out of attending his Inauguration next week!
Italian PM Georgia Meloni will be there. Argentinian President Javier Milei will be there. Poor Sir Keir won’t be there. And there was him saying what a “special relationship we have with the UK. Wrong tense, Keir, “had” would be better!
I wonder why? Well, Starmer is on record stating that…
“An endorsement from Donald Trump tells you everything you need to know about what is wrong with Boris Johnson’s politics and why he isn’t fit to be prime minister.”
In 2021, after Joe Biden’s inauguration, UK Deputy Leader Angela Rayner posted on X:
“I am so happy to see the back of Donald Trump but even more so to see Kamala Harris as Vice President.”
Oops.
And then, of course, last year,
Labour sent 100 party staff to the US to assist Democrats in swing states to help Kamala Harris!
Does ANYBODY blame President Trump for giving Starmer the cold shoulder?
I don’t!
This is just the beginning. NOT inviting the UK Prime Minister whilst inviting Reform Leader Nigel Farage is a clear signal from the incoming regime. Starmer will NOT be granted priority status and it is entirely possible that the UK could find itself suffering from Trump tariffs, which could flatten the UK economy, which is already in deep trouble.
Another strange aspect is that the newly appointed UK Ambassador to the UK Lord Peter Mandelson will not be present. They try to explain that this is simply because Mandelson has not had a chance to take up his new position and it is “too early” but don’t you think it would be good to be there with Trump from the start? It’s like the entire Starmer regime has been put on ice by Trump.
You love to see it!
