I note that UK PM Keir Starmer along with several other EU leaders warmongers have all rocked up in Kiev to “help secure a ceasefire” that will last for 30 days. Now, at one level ANYTHING that stops the slaughter is welcome but at another the same European politicians have been doing everything up until this point to sustain the killing so why should we give them any credit whatsoever ? Isn’t this just a tedious contrived photo-op?
In a joint statement, these so-called leaders said they will “ratchet up pressure” on Russia and are “ready to support peace talks”
So how does “ratcheting up pressure” on Russia and the use of such bellicose language achieve anything of note? Do they think Putin fears them?
By way of response, the Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said that Ukraine’s allies must stop sending weapons to Ukraine before any ceasefire can happen.
Speaking to ABC News, Peskov says if arms deliveries continue, it will be an “advantage” for Ukraine, as the country “will continue their total mobilisation” and bring more troops to the front line. He also says Ukraine is “not ready for immediate negotiations,” while Putin is trying to “achieve a settlement through peaceful and diplomatic means”.
When you listen to Starmer and his associates, you realise that supplying arms deliveries to kill Russians is the core component of what this conflict is all about. It’s a massive grift and of course little Zelensky is the consummate grifter. If this ceasefire does happen, it will be thanks to Trump and Putin, the Euro cucks are just grandstanding and virtue signalling.
