You will have noticed that the Canadian and Australian federal elections have delivered a response to Donald Trump’s “America First” agenda, as voters in both nations rallied behind conniving woke globalist Left wing leaders. The Liberal Party’s Mark Carney in Canada and Labor’s Anthony Albanese in Australia have defied polling odds to secure decisive victories, fuelled by anti-Trump sentiment.
In Canada, the April 28 election saw Carney’s Liberals clinch 169 seats, a near-majority triumph that humiliated Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives, who limped to 144 seats while Poilievre himself lost his Carleton riding. Early 2025 had the Conservatives riding high, capitalising on Justin Trudeau’s baggage and sky-high grocery bills. But then Trump crashed the party. His 25% tariffs on Canadian auto parts, steel, and aluminum, plus 10% on energy, hit like a wrecking ball. His social media rants about Canada becoming the “51st state” sparked a firestorm. Polls showed that 39% of weak willed woke Canadians ranked Trump as a top concern, second only to the cost of living. Carney, ex-Bank of Canada governor, pounced, slapping retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods and pitched deeper European ties. Canadians, clutching their Tim Hortons cups, embraced a “Buy Canadian” surge, boycotting American brands and handing Carney the win.
Meanwhile, in a land down under, Australia’s May 3 election was a similar plot but with a different accent. Albanese’s Labor Party obliterated Peter Dutton’s conservative Coalition in a “wipeout,” reversing earlier polls that had Dutton poised to govern. Trump’s global tariffs, hammering Australian steel and aluminum, sent shockwaves through an economy tethered to trade with both the U.S. and China. A Lowy Institute poll revealed 66% of Aussies doubted the U.S. as a reliable ally—up from 40% in 2024. Dutton, who’d flirted with Trump’s victory and mimicked his culture-war playbook, got burned. His tepid criticism of Trump and cuts to “diversity” programs backfired. Albanese played the patriot card, vowing to protect trade with China (wink wink) and bolster non-U.S. alliances.
Canada and Australia, two key elements of the Anglosphere, have shown just how triggered their electorate are by the words and actions of Trump. It shows how they default into left wing capture. The UK is not that far behind, just more subtle in how it shows it.
Carney’s European pivot and Albanese’s China-friendly stance signal a new form of globalism – it’s anti USA. Trump has shown us the true nature of these countries- and the Anglo-sphere in general – and it’s not a pretty picture.
