Knife crime – the cutting edge?

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has declared at the Labour Party Conference that she will halve knife crime in a decade.

OK, how will she do this, exactly? Well, I think that she believes she can just “ban it” – such is the elevated ignorance of Socialists. She may also choose to redefine how it is recorded, a favoured Labour trick. Nothing actually CHANGES but the impression is that it has.

Zombie-style knives and machetes are now banned under new legislation brought in by the Government to strengthen existing knife crime laws and to take dangerous weapons off the streets. Throughout the summer, designated police stations were made available for you to surrender these weapons safely and legally, and claim compensation if you were eligible to. Now this opportunity has come to an end with the ban in place from today.

Which communities use “Zombie-style knives and machetes”, you may ask? And that my friends is where it gets very tricky for Cooper. You see machetes tend not to be used as weapons in ye olde England. It’s perfectly obvious that the use of such extreme weapons is prevalent in inner city black gang culture and also amongst a small minority of violent followers of Islam. We all remember how Lee Rigby was brutally hacked to death by machete wielding Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, for example.

I would suggest that if Cooper wanted to REALLY half knife-crime then she would need to mercilessly target all these inner city black gangs and stop illegal migration. She has zero intention of doing anything of the sort so this is all vague aspirational nonsense from the Home Secretary and should fool no-one.
