Ireland recognises Narnia

In a way, I am not remotely surprised to read that three EU countries – Ireland, Norway and Spain – have all moved to recognise Palestine as a State. I am sure the EU as a whole will move to follow.

Ireland, Norway, and Spain have announced they will recognise a Palestinian state from 28 May 2024.

These countries all assert that by providing this recognition, this will bring ‘peace’ although they are all a little vague in explaining HOW this will bring peace!

Here is the response of Israeli foreign minister Israel Katz

“History will remember that Spain, Norway and Ireland decided to award a gold medal to the Hamas murderers and rapists, who raped teenage girls and burned babies. I ordered the ambassadors to be immediately summoned for reprimand talks – during which they will watch the horrifying kidnapping video of the abduction of the female observers to illustrate to them what a twisted decision their governments made. Israel will not go over this in silence – their step will have serious consequences.”

Now before we descend into the deep emotions of all of this, let’s ask a few simple questions!

Where is this Palestinian State that these three countries are “recognising’?

Well, the short answer is that it doesn’t actually exist in physical or political reality. It’s like Narnia but in the Levant. But here is one map that suggests where it would like to be found.

So, basically “Palestine” would be a big chunk of latter day Israel, with a coastal Gaza adjunct and the Golam Heights to the north. That’s the Golam Heights that Israel won in the 1967 6 Day War.

Let’s ask another non emotional question.

How could Palestine as a State exist?

Well, Israel would have to hand over large areas of territory to Palestinian control and hope for the best. Who thinks it would voluntarily do this?

I remember in 2005 Israel withdrew all of its forces from Gaza leaving it to the Palestinians to rule it. What happened? Well, the extreme genocidal Hamas forces overthrew the Palestinian Authority in 2006, and promptly banned elections for decades. Hamas rule came to an end on October 8th 2023 following the massacre it carried out the previous day.

So the ONLY way for “Palestine” to exist is for Israel to weaken it’s own existence.

Do you think Israel will go along with that?
