Death Panels for the UK!

So the UK Government is considering bringing in DEATH PANELS to determine who should live or die. This is in connection to the “Assisted Dying” legislation being fronted up and pushed through Parliament by Labour MP Kim Leadbetter.

Assisted dying cases would no longer have to be signed off by the High Court under changes suggested by the bill’s supporters. The proposed law in England and Wales currently says a High Court judge must check each person is eligible and has not been coerced into making the decision to die. But Kim Leadbeater, the Labour MP behind the bill, will suggest replacing this with a panel of experts who would oversee applications.

“Experts” – we’ll get back to them in a minute.

There is something very dark about the Leadbetter family, politically speaking. Kim’s sister, Jo Cox, an ardent anti-Brexiteer, was murdered back in 2015. That was a strange event of itself and it did help move the dial towards the Remain camp. Kim herself, a keen Fabian seemingly, has come as from nowhere to pilot this “Assisted Dying” Bill through Parliament although one wonders who and what is the real driving force behind this? The spectre of death in one form or another seems to hang over these sisters.

Leadbetter is pushing through the UK Parliament the sort of euthanasia that we see in the likes of Canada. She and her ilk can dress this up in whatever rhetoric they want BUT at the end of the day the purpose of this legislation is to help people kill themselves. That is morally abhorrent and no amount of reassuring words should disguise the desire to KILL that lies at the heart of this.

As for her panel of “experts” – who will they be? What is the basis for their “expertise” and who decides it? If we have learned anything from the past five years it is NOT to trust the so-called “experts” and yet that is exactly what we are now being asked to trust. If she gets her way, and it is likely that she will, these Death Panels will have the final say over who should live and who can die. To give such power to self-declared “experts” is an appalling power grab by the State.

On the issue of the ‘Assisted Dying” Bill itself, I absolutely oppose this mendacious concept in the first place. We have seen how this one goes in Canada.

Medically-assisted dying – also known as voluntary euthanasia – accounted for 4.7% of deaths in Canada in 2023, new government data shows. The country’s fifth annual report since euthanasia was legalised in 2016 showed around 15,300 people underwent assisted dying last year after being successful in their applications.

So one in twenty deaths in Canada are state sanctioned suicides. That number is only going to increase and this is exactly the trajectory the UK will follow.

In an example of egregious gaslighting, Leadbeater has said the changes “will make the system even more robust”.

I think she *means* it will make the system more lethal.

This is a death cult and Parliament is going to impose it upon us.
