The media is ablaze with the conviction of NHS nurse Lucy Letby for killing seven babies and trying to kill Manu others. Some commentators have even called for the Death penalty for her. But is EVERYTHING quite as it appears here? The Jury has spoken and we must respect that but history shows that there have been other cases where innocent nurses were convicted.

Finally, someone else expressing some unease about the verdict. I was beginning to think that I was on my own with this opinion. Some of the TV interviews with doctors linked to this hospital were distasteful.
There also seems to have been a massive breakdown in governance in this hospital/dept. I can’t help but suspect that this case deflects attention away from the Hospital’s management failings and NHS management failings. It appears to me that so much of the evidence was circumstantial.
Also, the media have had a field day with this case, whipping the gullible sections of the public into a baying mob. What about the media considering the > 200,000 babies murdered each year in UK abortion clinics. Why don’t they express some outrage about this terrible situation.
