The essence of UK law is that one is assumed to be INNOCENT until proven guilty. This is the bedrock of our entire system and yet it is suggested by Toby Young that the Home Office itself may have breached the Principe by BOASTING on social media how it has arrested ”1000 criminals” following the unrest in the aftermath of the Southport killings. By labelling EVERYONE arrested as a ”criminal” does this prejudice the trial of those involved and thus put the Home Office in contempt of Court?
