King Charles and the cancer mystery

I note that King Charles has shared “good news” about his cancer, saying in a personal message that early diagnosis and “effective intervention” means his treatment can be reduced in the new year.

In a recorded video message broadcast on Channel 4 for the Stand Up To Cancer campaign, the King said: “This milestone is both a personal blessing and a testimony to the remarkable advances that have been made in cancer care.”

OK, I am pleased that he has thus good news to share but I do have questions.

We are not told what form of cancer he has and we are not told what his treatment has been. Why?

As Prince Charles he was an enthusiast advocate for the Covid jabs and we know that cancer has been a noted side effect of those. It was so strange the way that both the King AND Princess Catherine both “got” cancer at the same time and in both cases we were left to just guess as to what was happening.

One argument given for withholding this information is that it is a private matter. However the King is a very public figure. Shouldn’t we get at least some information? The majority of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy lose their hair. The King has not lost his hair. Neither, for that matter, has Princess Catherine. Is this because they are on a different form of treatment? Is it unreasonable to ask what that might be as OTHER cancer patients might desire this outcome too?

Don’t get me wrong; I wish His Majesty and the Princess a full recovery, just as I wish anyone ELSE suffering from cancer a good outcome. But there is something secretive about the way the Royals have managed this cancer scare that makes me think they are hiding something and that’s not a good look.
