The Bible is clear. Women can do many things, some much better than men, but they cannot be clerics.
Timothy 2:12 says; “I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet,” often interpreted by complementarians as barring women from pastoral roles over men. 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 instructs women to “remain silent in the churches” and be submissive.
However the Church of England knows better than the Bible and that explains this kind of ordained blasphemy.
This was posted by the Church of England and show a female cleric, the Rev Pippa White, saying Mary is the “main character” in the Christmas story instead of Jesus.
“She had the chance to say no. She wasn’t forced to carry the Christ child.”
I bet this demon would have supported Mary aborting the Christ child given half the chance! At a time like this, it is jarring to watch this kind of in your face blasphemy.
Was Mary an important figure in Gospel story? Yes. Was her role essential? Yes.
Was she the CENTRAL figure? No!!! That would be our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
It is all about him. However the Church of England employs those who think otherwise. Maybe re-name it the Church of Satan and be done with?
