This is a great new charity single by Sir Starmer and the Granny Harmers which I urge you to support.
“This winter, over 300,000 people in the UK will be without a stable home. Among them are thousands of men and women who once served in our armed forces. Meanwhile, Britain is spending billions on asylum accommodation, with hotel rooms making up the majority of that cost. Veterans who risked their lives for this country are sleeping in doorways, cars, tents and temporary hostels.
They are freezing, forgotten and pushed aside by a system that finds infinite compassion for everyone except the people it owes the most. That is why we’ve released Fly Them Home For Christmas, a charity single to raise money for Helping Homeless Veterans UK, a volunteer-run charity that gets veterans off the street and into safety fast, without bureaucracy or delay. Every single penny raised will go directly to supporting homeless veterans. A country that cannot look after its veterans has lost its moral compass. We believe the government has its priorities all wrong. We believe that no veteran should be left behind in their own country.”
