Another cultural battle has erupted and as far as I can see President Trump is on the side of the angels but he battles demons. Real demons.
As you know, the United States has imposed visa bans on five Europeans, including a former European Union commissioner, accusing them of pressuring tech firms to censor and suppress “American viewpoints they oppose”.
In a statement on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio characterised the individuals as “radical activists” who had “advanced censorship crackdowns” by foreign states against “American speakers and American companies”.
One of those facing this ban is a man called Imran Ahmed who is the chief executive of the Centre for Countering Digital Hate. This organisation is worth a little study because of a very clear link to Sir Keir Starmer.
You see the CCDH was founded in 2018 and a certain Morgan McSweeney served as founding director from its incorporation in October 2018 until resigning on April 6, 2020. McSweeney is the political Svengali behind Starmer.
The CCDH as rightly drawn a lot of criticism for campaigns pressuring social media de-platforming, data scraping, and coordination with governments to censor certain opinions. It lobbied Twitter (with Rachel Riley) in 2020 to ban Katie Hopkins and George Galloway, labelling them hate spreaders. This was the same time I was deplatformed from Twitter. It published in 2021 a “Disinformation Dozen” report naming 12 COVID skeptics (e.g., RFK Jr.) for de-platforming, cited by 12 Democrat AGs in letters to platforms days later. It targeted ads on sites like The Daily Wire, The Federalist for “racist disinformation” on Soros, Wuhan lab, climate; urged Google ad ban
So in summary the CCDH is all about censoring free speech and has very close links to the Starmer regime. It is also.s very financially powerful organisation with funding from the likes of the Soros Open Society, the Joseph Rowntree Trust and other assorted globalist left wing sources masquerading as “Charities”
With these kinds of friends in high places, there was always going to be a pushback on the Trump bans. A United States District Judge has just granted Imran Ahmed’s temporary restraining order enjoining the defendants (Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Sarah Rogers, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, and others) “from arresting or detaining the Plaintiff pending further order of the Court”.
So Imran Ahmed who helped orchestrate the global blacklisting and “black ops” against dissidents—including U.S. citizens—on behalf of UK intelligence-linked NGO now wants the protection of the very Constitution he tried to silence.
This order will be overturned but it shows the power of this shadowy organisations. Additionally the European Union has warned it would respond to any “unjustified measures” after the US ban. Could it ban pro Free Speech Americans in reprisals?
The absolute hypocrisy of the EU, the UK Government and the left in general is staggering. They have actively censored free speech, deplatformed and fined people they disagree with and NOW when they get a taste of their own medicine they cry like little bitches.
I hope Trump expands the list of those denied access to the US for their active role in attacking free speech and I think there should be an investigation into the “finances” of the CCDH.
