Give War a chance?

It might sound a bit odd to say it out loud but I am pleased that the Pakistan brokered talks between the USA and Iran have ended without any agreement. I’m not even sure that the purpose of the talks was to gain agreement, however, but rather to expose the belligerence of the Islamic Republic. Sending Vice President JD Vance was also a great idea as we know that he is not very enthusiastic about the war so now he gets to see close up what Trump is dealing with. He will learn.

The group of people that will be happiest about this failure to reach an agreement is the 90 million Iranians who want to see the tyranny that has ruled them for 47 years brought to its knees. I always think it is strange that the media commentariat choose to ignore this aspect of the conflict. It’s not that Iranians support the Iranian Regime and surely that has to be a factor the US-Israeli alliance must take into account? The thing is that I am not sure it cares that much about them.

The US seems to want the Iranian regime to agree to TWO things;

  1. Iran must agree to complete nuclear disarmament and accept it can never have nukes.

  2. The Strait of Hormuz must be open to all without any tolls.

It won’t agree to either and for reasons that seem obvious. In the first instance, the Shia theocracy that rules Iran WANTS to wipe out Israel and the US. If they got nukes then that is something that might be possible. It is an apocalyptic vision that is dear to the Ayatollahs and if they lose that they lose their reason for being. As for the Strait of Hormuz, if they OPEN that without conditions, they lose any vestigial leverage.

So they will not agree to these basic terms from the USA and I think that was understood by Mossad/USA from before the talks even started. What we have seen is pure theatre that sets up what comes next. And what, you may ask, is that?
