To the best of my knowledge the only candidate who will oppose Nigel Farage in the Clacton by election is likely to be an individual who calls himself Count Binface. The question is who exactly is he?
Well, Count Binface is the satirical persona of a British “comedian” called Jonathan David Harvey. He portrays himself as a novelty “intergalactic space warrior” candidate in UK elections, wearing a bin-shaped helmet. (He rebranded from Lord Buckethead after a copyright dispute!)
He has deep BBC roots. Harvey has written for major BBC shows including Have I Got News for You, Only Connect, Time Trumpet, and various Radio 4 comedies. I use the term “comedy” loosely as these are all sneering leftist “comedies” His pedigree is impeccable if you are on the left of politics!
Some people think Binface’s candidature is hilarious. Not me.
He is the face of the establishment and they are using him to laugh at us.
“You plebs in Clacton have a choice; Vote Farage or a man in a bin.”
That’s how much contempt they have for the ordinary people who live in Clacton! Binface IS the establishment figure cosplaying as some sort of wacky independent. He is the avatar of the BBC. It seems to me that British democracy has fallen to a new low with an Establishment using a man dressed as a bin. And all the politicians snigger at this gross insult to the people of Clacton. I don’t think I have ever loathed the political establishment as much as I do today.
