So we have now seen the release of the first batch of the Mandelson files. These mark a significant escalation in the scandal surrounding former Labour peer Peter Mandelson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, directly challenging Starmer’s judgment.
The UK government has published the first wave of over 100 pages of documents related to Mandelson’s 2024 appointment as ambassador to the United States. These files, prompted by parliamentary pressure and an ongoing police probe, reveal that Mandelson misled officials and highlight Starmer’s direct role in overlooking clear warnings.
Starmer ensured that the files were released AFTER his appearance at the despatch box at PMQ’s so that he himself would not have to face any awkward questions. He ran away.
