I was just checking my new subs here for the month of September. I have published 30 articles thus far, which is a pretty decent output in 12 days. I have around 20,000 views during that 12 days, which again I think is decent.
Can you guess how many have joined as result of all those published articles?
Yes, zero. F*cking zero.
It feels like after a period in late August where I did experience a little growth, it’s all gone pear shaped again. My paid subscribers have fallen, so obviously my content doesn’t excite and I am once again wondering why I bother? The Substack algorithm clearly is not my friend, does not share my content and does not really want me here.
So to spite it, I stay. To my kind supporters here, I also stay for you
