The assassination of Erika Kirk catapulted his wife, Erika, to global spotlight. I think most of us felt huge sympathy for her, after all she just lost her husband and the world watched it happen. So dreadful. She gave a remarkable speech in the aftermath of he husband’s death where she publicly FORGAVE his alleged killer. I found this remarkable, if a little strange.
Erika has taken on the leadership of Turning Point USA and appears to want to continue the work her husband has started. So far, so good.
But you would need to blind not to notice the attacks on her bona fides by the likes of Candace Owens. Have they any credence? Owens has repeatedly suggested that foreign governments such as Israel, France, and Egypt may have been involved in Kirk’s killing and that some Turning Point USA leaders “betrayed” him or helped cover up the truth. She has also alleged that powerful pro‑Israel figures, including donor Bill Ackman, pressured Kirk over his stance on Israel, framed this as blackmail, and tied that pressure into a broader narrative about why he was killed. Owens says leaked texts and her own “intuition” show Kirk predicted his death and was under intense donor and political pressure.
Is this true? I don’t know.
It does SEEM like Erika was in relationships before she met Charlies, which is totally normal except for the fact that she has denied this. Why?
Then there was this, her entrance to AMfest.
If you had just lost your partner, would you want to shimmy on stage like this? I know I would not, I would be utterly distraught. But maybe she is stronger than me?
She also got a lot of flack for having Nicki Minaj on stage with her. I don’t really see the problem here – Christ tells us all are capable of redemption. Yes, I am aware of the highly sexual stuff she has recorded but again, change is allowed.
I don’t know what to think about Erika. I want to believe that all is as it seems but I am not certain and I think the TPUSA movement is now deeply split. Charlie was the clue that held it together – now he is gone, will Erika fill that void?
