So Donald Trump will be sworn in as president of the United States on Jan. 20, 2025 ushering in his second term in office and capping one of the most astounding political comebacks in American history.

Inauguration Day is, by tradition, largely dedicated to pomp and circumstance. One president leaves the White House, and another moves in. But Trump also has pledged to sign a flurry of executive orders on subjects ranging from border security to oil and gas production on his first day in office.

However, in many ways, Donald Trump is already the acting President and this is increasingly obvious as other world leaders genuflect to him at his Mar-a-lago base. His impact is already being felt around the world and I offer you what is happening Canada as a great example of this. Trudeau’s time in office seems to be approaching the end and it seems that the very threat of Trump tariffs that has triggered chaos amongst liberals. Trump seems to enjoy triggering Trudeau!

Note how he refers to Canada as a “state” and Trudeau as a Governor. This is cosmic grade trolling but also a humiliation for the Trudeau regime!

Other nations like Mexico are suddenly sitting up and trying to find ways not to invoke the wrath of Trump. NATO is also responding to his looming ascendency by urging European countries to up their spending so that Trump does not turn on NATO.

Having said all that, the Deep State in Congress is still trying to keep it “business as normal” with Speaker Johnson trying to push a massive spending Bill through the House just before Christmas. The key elements of this Bill are;

  • Pay raises for members of Congress.

  • Expansion of their federal health benefits.

  • Opening up a new stadium in Washington DC.

  • Renews the Global Engagement Center, which is a keynote of the Censorship Industrial Complex.

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have instantly gone on the attack and it looks like this Bill will not pass. The changes that lie in store for the US in this Trump golden age are remarkable and are already underway.

  • Should I continue here?

    I don’t know. I started this substack with high hopes but I don’t feel like that some days anymore. I find it dispiriting to see so few people engage with what I say which makes me think it’s not worth saying. I do appreciate you few loyal supporters who do engage with me and who like my posts. If it weren’t for you I would be gone. I always do my best to post content here daily but it’s feeling like a grind. I don’t know why but a post on substack gets around 1000th of the reactions/engagement I get elsewhere. The irony is I love writing and always have done so. The growth here is very modest and it has the effect of making me think I am pushing water uphill. So what do you think?

  • Dr Who – trans ally!

    David Tennant famously played the role of Dr Who for several years and enjoyed quite a bit of critical acclaim for his performance in it. David Tennant has also been to the fore in proclaiming that he is an “ally” of the LGBTQ+ movement. This manifested itself recently when he hit out at Minister for Women and Equalities Kemi Badenoch demanding that she “shut up” in a furious rant against her.

  • The Crossing Point.

    The smug comfortable UK political establishment does not want the status quo ruffled too much and nowhere is that more obvious than in the behaviour of Polling organisations Savanta UK and Opinium. Here’s what they are claiming is the situation in the British polls.
