It’s so humiliating for the UK to have a Prime Minister in the form of Sir Keir Starmer who is basically copying Manuel the Spanish waiter in “Fawlty Towers” ….
Starmer’s core argument on Monday in the Commons was that he did not mislead Parliament over Lord Peter Mandelson’s appointment and that the failure lay in the system, not in him deliberately hiding information.
He insisted: “I did not mislead the House of Commons,” arguing that he spoke based on the information he had at the time about Mandelson’s security vetting. He acknowledged that “information that I should have had, and information that the House should have had, should have been before the House,” but maintained that this was an omission by officials, not an intentional deception by him.
In short, this was everybody’s fault but his. And he now sacked everybody in the chain.
The only person left to sack is himself because he was the guy that pushed more than anyone else for Mandelson to get the job. Remember his delight in the moment?
Well, Peter is now gone. Olly Robbins is gone. And soon, Starmer will be gone.
