I saw this utterly cynical “girl boss” recruitment ad for the British Army.
How thrilling. Football loving women can show what great girl bosses they can be whilst serving in the army. Putin will dread that, surely?
Women make up around 10% of those serving in the British Army and fewer than that again if we focus on just frontline rules. Good. I would prefer that no women were placed in danger in the frontline. I don’t doubt that women can play some important roles but let’s be honest – the point of being a soldier is to be a warrior who can kill. I know women are capable of doing that (For example, I have witnessed Linda Ronsadt murder “Alison”) but I think it is a man’s role. What do you reckon?
