Three days ago, we saw an absolutely horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in Indian-administered Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, mostly Indian tourists, shattering the region’s fragile peace.
The Resistance Front, a proxy of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility. This terror assault underscores Pakistan’s persistent sponsorship of cross-border terrorism, validating Prime Minister Modi’s muscular approach to national security and his unwavering resolve to protect India’s sovereignty. When Modi speaks in ENGLISH, he is signalling intent to the world.
Modi’s government has acted swiftly, decisively, and justifiably. India has suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, a bold move signalling that water resources will not flow to a nation fuelling terror.
Furthermore, the border was sealed, visas for Pakistani nationals revoked, and Pakistan’s defence attachés expelled from New Delhi. These measures reflect Modi’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism, as articulated by Union Minister CR Paatil:
“Not even a drop of water from the Indus will go to Pakistan.”
Modi’s vow to “identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backer” resonates with a nation demanding justice, reinforcing his image as a strong leader unafraid to confront Pakistan’s duplicity.
I have been publicly supporting Modi for years now and this is why! In 2020, I had planned to visit Kashmir but Covid knocked that on the head.
Pakistan’s denial of involvement and its risible claim of a “false flag operation” are predictable deflections. Its army chief, General Asim Munir, recently called Kashmir Pakistan’s “jugular,” exposing Islamabad’s obsession with destabilising India.
The attack’s timing, coinciding with US Vice President JD Vance’s visit, was designed to humiliate India on the global stage, but Modi has turned adversity into action.
His government’s diplomatic offensive, including downgrading ties and closing airspace to Indian airlines, has cornered Pakistan, forcing it to face consequences for harbouring militants.
Modi’s Kashmir policy since 2019—revoking Article 370, integrating Jammu and Kashmir, and spurring tourism with 3.5 million visitors in 2024—has transformed the region. This attack, the deadliest since 2000, aims to derail all that progress, but Modi’s resolve is unshaken.
His all-party meeting on April 24 demonstrated national unity, with even opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi backing the government’s response.
The Pahalgam tragedy galvanises India’s resolve to reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and end terrorism’s scourge. Under Modi, India stands tall, using diplomacy, economic pressure, and military preparedness. His vision for a secure, prosperous Kashmir endures, undeterred by Pakistan’s proxy war. I stand with India.
