I guess she was one of the original “supermodels”, coming to fame in the mid-to late 1980’s – yes, I am talking about Elle Macpherson, the Australian model, businesswoman, television host, and actress.

This was always going to be how it ended because this is also how it started.

It’s 40 years since a band of English musicians (I use the term loosely!) got together to record the song “Feed the World – do they know it’s Christmas time” I remember it well and as a charity single it captured the imagine at the time and raised a vast sum at the time of $10m for Ethiopia – where the famine was at that time.

I remember the 1970’s.
