One of the things that has bothered me most since the US mid-terms in 2022 is that people actually believe the same people who stole that election and the 2020 Presidential election won’t steal this one, even though they have more power than before & we are voting on the same machines controlled by the same people. Am I alone in finding this cognitive dissonance alarming?
How can Donald Trump WIN when the cheats have perfected cheating? What will make it different in 2024 from 2022 and 2020? We all know that the US electoral system is dysfunctional and more worthy of a banana republic. We all understand that the Democrats will do retain control of the White House so what’s the ACTUAL plan to stop them? I remember asking this question of Kari Lake, a lady for whom I have the utmost respect, and I didn’t really feel that she answered it. It is the elephant in the room and it reminds of the line attributed to Stalin (even if he didn’t actually say it)

Hope makes a great breakfast but a poor supper and simply hoping the Democrats won’t cheat again seems a poor gameplay.
