My own county of Yorkshire is home to two of the largest and most strategically important US defence installations outside of North America. Travel along the A169 over the North Yorkshire Moors between Pickering and Whitby, and you’ll see the huge Fylingdales anti-missile warning station. Drive a few miles west of Harrogate on the A59 and you can’t help but notice the biggest of them all: Menwith Hill. This huge site is comprised of a collection of outsized listening pods that look like giant golf balls. This is THE major American intelligence and electronic monitoring base in Europe. Both installations are operated ostensibly by the RAF, but operated principally by the US Department of Defense and the National Security Agency. The activities of both are a closely-guarded secret. The two sites are products of the Cold War. Menwith Hill was built in the late 1950s, with Fylingdales following in the early Sixties.
Growing up as I did in the 1980s as the last of the Cold War generations, it was much easier to identify who our enemies were and, more importantly, WHERE they were. The enemy were the Soviet Communists and their various Eastern European proxy governments. Their location? Safely tucked away behind the Iron Curtain. Terrorism and/or sabotage carried out by the ‘Commies’ was such a rare occurrence, attacks made both national and international news. The most noteworthy was Georgi Markov, a Bulgarian dissident murdered when a ricin pellet was fired from a modified umbrella into his thigh on London’s Waterloo Bridge in 1978. What terrorism we had in Europe (such as the IRA in the UK, or ETA in Spain) was largely domestic in nature, contained locally for the most part, and heavily infiltrated by the respective intelligence services to the point where they were both neutered without their objectives being met.
Today’s terrorist threats are much more potent and much more widespread. A few weeks ago, at least five men were spotted acting stragely by a passing farmer close to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The farmer telephoned the emergency line pertaining to the Ministry of Defence and received no answer (something, I would argue, is only possible in a country that no longer takes itself seriously). After some delay, the local police were despatched to evacuate local people. The men were detained on charges of engaging in – or preparing for – terrorist activity. To everyone’s surprise, they were bailed shortly afterwards – thereby being blessed with a leniency not afforded to Danny Thomas for the unspeakable socialist crime of momentarily arresting the demographic and cultural ruination of Britain by puncturing a dinghy operating as a taxi service. President Trump, keen that the US fleet of Rockwell B1 Lancer jets (at a cost of $300 million each) based at Fairford not become casualties in the ever-growing threat of Islamically-inspired terrorism, judiciously decided to withdraw the jets from UK soil. Who can blame him? Who wants expensive, sophisticated military hardware based in a country that rolls out the red carpet to armadas of illegal men from medieval societies with ill-intent towards the West in general and America in particular? No only that, but a state willing to facilitate this invasion to the point of placing an entire Hampshire town under effective lockdown to prohibit counterprotest? Thanks to the ongoing catastrophe of mass migration, lack of assimilation and illegal invasions, the rapid demographic changes now taking place across Britain have succeeded in achieving what the Cold War could not: the strategic withdrawal of an American defence presence in the United Kingdom.
It doesn’t really matter whether those arrested in connection with the Fairford incident are actual Iranian agents or willing hired helpers seduced by a handsome financial reward for services to the ‘Ummah’. The truth is either is possible because of the sociological experiment carried out by successive government over three decades. One could plausibly argue that the Tories embarked on this wickedness because they didn’t have the intellectual wherewithal to distinguish between the national interest on the one hand, and runaway retardation in the form of inviting millions to come here who were happy to sully our British civilisational norms on the other. The Conservatives were suckered in by the notion that Britain wasn’t a cultural and historical titan, but merely a piece of land where anyone and everyone could be reduced to nothing more than economic units of output that were interchangeable. For Labour and the British Left, it is more sinister. These people actively revel in indigenous population replacement by declaring openly the ‘wonders of diversity’. The latest politico to do so was Sagal Abdi-Wali, the newly-elected MP for Holborn and St Pancras. A constituency that 30 years ago elected Frank Dobson purely on a domestic political ticket, now sends to Parliament someone who looks like an extra from ‘Captain Phillips’. The runner-up? The leader of a party that quadrupled its vote share by adopting a policy that uniquely denies the world’s Jews the right to sanctuary and national self-determination! Why has this occurred? Because British politics is now based around different communities and different group interests thanks to mass migration.
We have a Home Secretary called Shabana Mahmood who, two years ago, said Islam “is the core of who I am”. Imagine the outrage there would be if the Federal Interior Secretary in Pakistan was called ‘Doris Bickerdyke’, who said Christianity was the be-all and end-all of who she was! Yet, this is considered normal and acceptable in a UK that has allowed itself to be gradually denuded by individuals who effectively hate the indigenous population; hate our history; hate who we are; and are on a mission to change this country beyond recognition as part of their “core” mission. Hey, maybe that’s why President Trump withdrew those aircraft. Did his soothsaying talents unveil a vision of Britain in 2060 – where ‘Syed Maqbool‘ is the Prime Minister, ‘Imran Muhammad‘ is the Defence Secretary, and the Muslim Brotherhood run local authorities in East London, Luton, Birmingham, Leicester, Bradford, Manchester and Blackburn? Might he have concluded it’s best to get out now while the going is still relatively good? Perhaps he’ll close Menwith Hill, too! Then Shabana or one of her Home Office underlings can sell it to a Kuwaiti oil baron with designs on turning it into an Islamic version of Disneyland. The mind boggles!
