The future of NATO is in peril and full responsibility for that lies with those cowards in NATO that are refusing to help President Trump secure the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump has demanded that NATO allies deploy warships to help the USA. Speaking last night, he warned the alliance faces a “very bad future” if members fail to assist, stressing that oil-dependent Europeans must share the burden currently borne by the US Navy.
Trump seeks a coalition of about seven nations to patrol the vital waterway, through which 20% of global oil flows. He contrasts NATO states’ heavy reliance on Gulf energy with America’s minimal imports, urging immediate naval contributions to reopen safe passage for tankers.
30 of the 32 NATO member are European. So you might think that they would see it in their interests to help out but that is to underestimate their rank cowardice. The UK, true to form, has ruled this out. France has ruled this out. I imagine they all want to sit this one out given their large muslim populations.
Fine.
It’s time the US pulled out of NATO and let these Europeans to rot. Be under no mistake it is the US that underwrites NATO.
Without the US, the Ukraine war comes to a complete stop. Those NATO members who talk big over Russia are conspicuously mute when it comes to Iran. In other words, they talk big when they know they have US backing. Deny them it and watch them squeal.
I believe that NATO should have been disbanded when the Cold War ended. Instead, it has enlarged and acted as the global aggressor.
It’s time is up. bury it in the Strait of Hormuz.
