She’s hard as nails that Shabana Mahmoud, I tell you. She is getting T0UGH with all the illegal migrants that pour into our country, real tough. Super tough. At last a Home Secretary that really “gets it”.
Well, that’s what they want you to think.
Tomorrow will see her new asylum policy announcement. Under the plans proposed people granted asylum in the UK will have a 20-year wait before they can apply to settle permanently.
OK, so what?
They still arrive.
They still will be accommodated.
They still have access to all our public services.
No one is getting deported,
What’s changed?
Oh, the bit where Mahmoud claims they will have to wait 20 years for citizenship. Will her foaming at the mouth pro Migrant Labour back bench colleagues go along with this?
Will the ECHR support this?
20 years is the length of your four Parliaments, a lot can change.
I don’t think this IS tough and I am certain it won’t stop the invaders but then again that isn’t the purpose of it. This is all about trying to stop Labour’s crumbling support as manifest in the polls.
We need to stop the smoke and mirrors and just START deporting these invaders. Every one of them.
