Did you watch the Charlie Kirk memorial last night? I sat up and watched most of it and it really was quite a remarkable event! I wanted to share my highlights of it with you starting with this passionate excerpt from Defence Sec Marco Rubio. Has he EVER been so emotional? It was interesting to see this side from him as he is usually much more low key.

How did she find the strength? I think the answer is in her deep faith. She shows true Christian courage. I doubt there was a dry eye in the stadium. She forgives but the State will still execute the killer and rightly so.

I wish I was like Erika but I am more like Trump in this regard.
There were two final things to show you.
Elon Musk appeared and sat with Trump. I was so pleased to see this. Charlie hoped these two would re-unite.

I found this a very moving event. I know it’s not the sort of thing we Brits do but it was a cross between a Revival Meeting and a Political Rally. That’s because Charlie was both those things – evangelist and political figure.
