It has been a great honour for me to have been followed by Charlie Kirk over on X. I have followed his work for some years and it has been a pleasure to see his influence grow and he was a fantastic thought leader for many young Americans. I have listened to many of his conversations and found him to be a super smart young man. A possible future US President.
Charlie was shot dead last night. He was fatally hit in the neck during a student Q&A event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, as part of his American Comeback Tour. The shooting occurred about 20 minutes into his speech, with a single gunshot reportedly fired from a nearby building, the Losee Center, approximately 200 yards away. Charlie was hospitalised but died of his injury.
A suspect, not a UVU student, was quickly taken into custody, though their identity and potential charges have not been released. The university initiated a campus lockdown and evacuation following the incident.
Here is how MSNBC reported it. They suggest he might have been shot by one of his own supporters, by accident! No matter how much you hate the media, it isn’t enough.
The execution has been met with delight by many on the political left. These demons show their true colours in moments like this.
It is too early to speculate on who did this and why. It is my experience that is is best to wait until the facts become more clear.
Charlie is married with two young kids. Let’s pray for his family at time. And after the mourning – this is war.
