Yesterday saw Parliament return after the summer break and there was one big issue facing the Labour Government and it was this – migration! The summer has shown the issue balloon up with civil unrest rising and dissatisfaction on how the Government is dealing with it even amongst some Labour MPS.
The Home Secretary Yvette Cooper rose to the challenge. She carefully explained that the “Smash the Gangs” was working. This is against the Government stats from August 25th that illegal migrant arrivals are up +46% year on year!
This is just lying to our faces. The desperation to spin is palpable.
She then added that Government will begin expediting visas for children, students AND their immediate family members from Gaza, with plans to establish a “permanent framework” for refugee students. So that’s a planned INCREASE in migrants she is announcing here! How many of these are Hamas supporters? She doesn’t really care. It’s worth pointing out that most of Gaza’s neighbours don’t want them – but the British Government does. Why?
Just before the Parliamentary recess, this Labour Government boasted about the “one in one out” deal that had been reached with France. We now discover that the grand sum of ZERO migrants have been returned this summer. Not one. It’s another pointless scam.
She has promised to “clamp down” on international students claiming asylum when their visas expire. Tens of thousands of foreign students are being contacted by the government and told they will be removed from the UK if they overstay their visas
This is welcome but this relies on a level of enforcement that we do not have,
Meanwhile, Cooper says the government is suspending new applications for a scheme allowing refugees to bring their family members to the UK, adding that smuggler gangs are using it to advertise small boat crossings
It’s a cluster*ck of incompetence. The Government is denying the INCREASE in illegal migration it has presided over and it now adding to our woes by INCREASING migration from Gaza of all places.
We need change now.
