The United States was the first country to recognize Israel as an independent state in 1948 and still remains its closest ally. However, the special relationship between the US and the Jewish state, supposedly based on shared interests and values, has changed over the years and started to cause some problems for Washington in both foreign and domestic policies.
It is not a secret that pro-Israeli lobbying organizations have a significant influence on the US as its members are present in business, political organizations and even in the government. Perhaps, the most influential one is AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee). Back in 2004, Senator Ernest “Fritz” Hollings of South Carolina claimed that the USA “couldn’t have an Israel policy other than what AIPAC gives”. Now, twenty years on, zionists continue to influence the White House’s decision-making, but these days they are not only shaping America’s foreign course but also its domestic policy. It is AIPAC, that always advocates unconditional US support for Israel and pushes back against any criticism of its actions as well as helps to conduct cleansing of “unwanted” people in the American government.
US foreign policy in the Middle East is based on the principle that “everyone is to blame, except the jews”. Since the beginning of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Washington, which always advocates for human rights, has firmly ignored severe humanitarian crisis and the large number of civilian casualties in Palestine. The White House also didn’t condemn the massive pager explosions in Lebanon on September 17-18, 2024, which injured more than 3,000 and killed at least 30 people. Hezbollah and Lebanon have both blamed Israel for the attack, while Tel Aviv and Washington declined to comment the incident. At the same time, the day after the attack Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant praised Mossad’s “very impressive” results in comments that were widely interpreted as tacit acknowledgement of the agency’s participation.
An investigation conducted by Reuters soon after the bombing in Lebanon, confirmed that the Mossad was indeed involved in the incident. And now, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that he gave the green light for a deadly September attack on Lebanon. In this regard, a question arises: Is Washington, which always advocates liberalism, human rights and democracy, so dependent on Tel Aviv that it is ready to turn a blind eye to all atrocities of its ally, even to terrorist acts? And what else Israel might be willing to do, given its confidence in its impunity? What if this act of terrorism isn’t the first of its kind, and we just don’t about others yet?

If Muslim countries would acknowledge Israel as a nation and quit bombing them there would be no problems. Israel only responds as history shows. Articles like this are all one sided.
