Shakira once told us that her hips don’t lie (I believe her!) and so it with Reform and its membership counter – falling numbers don’t lie either!
Let’s start with some facts which are beyond dispute.
Reform’s total membership has dropped nearly 10,000 in the past month. Before the 2024 election they had just under 40,000 members. When you consider that the number will be going up straight away when new members join, but only down when the yearly membership runs out, this means that they have likely lost over 10,000 of those pre-election members. That’s a quarter and that’s a lot. Particularly for a Party surging in the polls!
So why is this?
