One of the favourite tactics of the political left (which includes virtually the entire mainstream media btw) is to repeatedly suggest that US President Trump entered the Iran conflict without any clear well thought out objectives. The way they tell it Trump just woke up one day and thought to himself “Let’s bomb Iran”!
This, of course, is fake news. So let’s spell out the exact war aims, shall we?
