The Rape Gangs of London

It was always the elephant in the room. Many large English cities and towns have been shown to have Pakistani rape gangs, preying on young white girls. But there was one very noticeable absence – LONDON.

How come there was no mention of our Capital city which also contains the single largest Pakistani population?

Well, we know why!

I was reading how a retired Metropolitan Police detective has now come forward and accused London Mayor Sadiq Khan of presiding over a systemic failure to confront child grooming gangs, labelling him a “threat to the safety of vulnerable young children.”

Jon Wedger, a 30-year veteran of the force, claims he uncovered an “industrial-scale” operation exploiting at least 52 children aged nine to 14 in the late 1990s and early 2000s. That was decades ago. All we got was silence.

The victims, he alleges, were trafficked across East London, sold for crack cocaine in derelict houses, and auctioned off for up to £2,000 in upscale Mayfair restaurants frequented by wealthy clients.

Areas like Haringey and Tower Hamlets seems to be central to all the abuse but that is where he reportedly hit a wall of intimidation.

“I was told if I ever mentioned what I’d uncovered, I would lose my home, job and children,” he recounted, describing threats from senior officers who warned it would “f***k the Metropolitan Police past, present and future.”

So how long was this going on and who was involved?

Despite evidence of daily horrors—children swapped for drugs and shuttled to hotels for abuse with construction workers—the probe was allegedly quashed to protect institutional reputations.

Fast-forward now to 2025, and Sadiq Khan stands accused of perpetuating this silence. The Labour mayor has dodged questions on grooming gangs nine times this year alone, including smirking dismissals during London Assembly grillings. It’s sickening to watch him.

In February, he rejected an independent inquiry proposed by Conservatives, causing outrage from survivors and opposition figures.

“The way he’s been acting is disgusting,” vented an anonymous East London victim, adding that Khan’s snide responses “only enables perpetrators.” South Yorkshire survivor Mandy echoed the sentiment: “This feels like… someone in a position of power ‘deliberately looking the other way’ just like too many have… for the past two decades.”

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has called Wedger’s testimony “damning,” slamming Khan for “facilitating a cover-up”. London Assembly Conservative Susan Hall has said that;

“These abuses have been going on for years… we need to get the victims the justice they deserve.”

The Metropolitan Police have been very quiet on the subject. Why’s that then? Is it possible that London has been the epicentre of the greatest rape gang cover up of them all? If the allegations by Wedger are true, then heads must roll.
