It starts in Australia today but it will spread. I am talking of course about the BAN on anyone under the age of 16 being able to access most social media platforms.
At midnight, the country’s new social media ban for children under the age of 16 came into force. The new legislation – hailed as “world-leading” by Prime Minister left wing clown Anthony Albanese – means companies could face fines if they don’t take “reasonable steps” to prevent Australians under-16 from opening social media accounts.
Instragram, Facebook, X, SnapChat, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube are among the platforms required to enforce it, but that list could change in the future. Many firms affected by the new rules say the ban could actually make children less safe online, impinge on their rights and will be difficult to enforce.
I am sure it is entirely coincidental that no sooner has Australia passed this draconian legislation than the European Union declares it is “watching and will be learning” from Australia’s new laws. Europe is now eyeing similar bans, as well as proposals for a late-night “curfew”, curbs on “addictive” features, and an EU-wide age verification app.
I suggest to you that places like the UK and Canada as social media is erased for the vast majority of under 16’s. We are told that this is to keep kids “safe” but that is a lie.
This is all about CONTROL.
In the first place, age verification is at the core of this. That means EVERYBODY has to prove their age by providing ID. How terribly convenient for big Government. They can now add you to their database. Digital ID will follow.
Secondly, they want to make sure that young people are only exposed to APPROVED media and APPROVED thinking. They want to propagandise them in the schools and on the mainstream media and no UNAPPROVED sources will be allowed.
Then, when they hit 16, they will VOTE the way the State requires.
This is a total power grab – WEF inspired – and just watch how quickly it rolls out.
This is not about empowering youth, it is about enslaving it.
