Starmer shows how IRRELEVANT the UK has become.

If 2026 has shown us anything, it’s how utterly irrelevant the UK has become in global politics. We know that Trump did not inform Starmer that Delta Force were going in to extract Maduro in Venezuela, he just did it. We know that when Starmer “shares his view of Greenland” with Trump, the US President is laughing at him. We know that vague promises about UK “boots on the ground” in Ukraine are just that, posturing pieties.

How did we get to this stage?

I believe the rot set in years ago when we had a series of political leaders who were deeply committed to the globalist order and who were content for the UK to be subsumed into that mushy morass! Back in the 1980’s, Thatcher knew how to project power, but all Starmer projects is technocratic weakness. He doesn’t lead, he follows. Furthermore, decades of underinvestment in our military combined with creeping wokeness and submission to the UN has made us largely speaking militarily impotent. Lack of action has consequences too!

What makes me laugh is how the British media play along with Starmer’s illusions of relevance.

Only Greenland and Denmark should decide the future of Greenland, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has told the BBC. It comes after President Trump again said “we need Greenland from the standpoint of national security”.

Starmer can say what he wants but does anyone think the Trump regime cares?

I believe that a strong independent UK could have a real role but that would mean detaching ourselves from the EU, treating the UN with the contempt it deserves, and unambiguously standing with the USA and Israel. This will never happen under Labour so by the next available date of 2029, we will have become even less relevant than we are now.
