I see that there has been a bit of a media storm over Ireland’s first chartered deportation flight to Muslim-majority Pakistan dishing up pork sausages as part of a “full Irish breakfast” for the 24 men being sent back to Islamabad. LOL.
The incident occurred in September last year, according to a human rights monitoring report obtained by the Irish Times. Gardaí on board complained the food was “of a lower standard than expected” and slammed the inclusion of pork — strictly forbidden in Islam — as “inappropriate.” Halal options were apparently available but hadn’t been specified in the flight brief Aviation firm Air Partner, which handles Ireland’s deportation charters, swiftly changed the menu for future flights after the gaffe.
So many questions! Why were the Irish Police whining about the quality of the food? If the Muslims didn’t like the sausages, was anyone forcing them to eat them? This pandering to a bunch of illegal ingrates shows just how weak the Irish Government has become! I don’t see why they were fed anything, halal or otherwise.
Under Irish law, failed asylum seekers can take up to €10,000 to leave voluntarily or face forced removal. €10k goes a long way in the dusty tribal heartlands of third world Pakistan! I wouldn’t be in the least surprised that they take their 10k and then come back for more of the Irish taxpayers cash!
