So the position is that eight Palestine Action activists are currently on hunger strike in UK prisons, protesting their pre-trial detention and demanding fair trials, bail, and de-proscription of their group.​ The UK Government designated them a proscribed terrorist organisation in the UK on July 5th this year under the Terrorism Act 2000.​

Why was this? Well, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced the intent on following activists’ vandalism of RAF Brize Norton aircraft engines in June.​
The House of Commons approved the order on July 2 by 385-26 votes. This criminalises membership, support, or items suggesting affiliation, with penalties up to 14 years in prison
