This was always going to be how it ended because this is also how it started.
The United States is the global power broker which (disgracefully under Obama) enabled the whole Ukraine set up in 2014, which then supported Zelensky in his lunatic claims that Ukraine would join NATO. Without US military support, Ukraine is utterly incapable of defeating Russia in any conflict. All the hot air from the Kiev regime and Brussels and Downing Street should be ignored. So now comes this epic news.
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet in Alaska next Friday to discuss the future of the war in Ukraine. Trump announced the 15 August meeting on social media and it was later confirmed by a Kremlin spokesperson, who said the location was “quite logical” given Alaska’s relative proximity to Russia.
Zelensky is not invited. The UK is not invited. The EU is not invited.
And Zelensky is having a complete meltdown over it.
He has dismissed any prospect of a deal that sees Russia keeping the territory it has won. He insists that ALL territory must be returned to Ukraine and Russia withdraw,
This is a serious delusion but one the Europeans indulge. It is one the UK has propagated. And it cannot endure.
You see the US calls the shots here and this deal will be imposed, one way or another.
There are three main reasons why Zelensky is behaving like a spoilt brat;

I think he believes his own propaganda as all actors do.

He has sent in excess of 500,000 young Ukrainians to their death, promising his Nation “victory”.

If there is peace, there will be elections. He will lose.
I opposed this conflict from day one. Russia should not have invaded but the NATO driven provocation was designed to put Putin in an impossible place.
The reason this will end is because of the determination of one-man – President Trump. For the sake of Russians and Ukrainians, let this war end.
My big worry is if the EU/UK plan a false flag operation between now and the Alaska meeting to try and derail it. Trump and Putin want peace, Zelensky and the EU want continued war,
